The 2020 update to the European Strategy for Particle Physics laid out several key priorities for the future of collider physics beyond the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It identified and electron-positron Higgs factory as the next high-priority experiment and encouraged CERN and its international partners to investigate the technical and financial feasibility of a 100 TeV hadron collider. Reconciling these ambitious targets with the exploitation of the LHC and HL-LHC represents a big challenge, and the long life-cycle of experiments in HEP mean that its essential that Early Career Researchers (ECRs) play a key role in decision-making and planning. This seminar will provide an overview of the possibilities for collider experiments beyond the LHC, and discuss efforts within the ECR community both within Europe and the UK to understand hopes and concerns for the path moving forwards.
