In August this year the g-2 experiment at Fermilab announced a new measurement of the anomalous magnetic dipole moment of the muon, measured with a precision of 0.21ppm (see arxiv:2308.06230 for the pre-release). It is the most precise measurement ever made at a storage ring experiment. The measurement is sensitive to New Physics at the TeV scale, and has a long standing discrepancy with the theoretical prediction. I will discuss the latest measurement, the status of the theoretical predictions and the experiments ultimate precision.
