The workshop will introduce NetworkPlus (NP+) and will engage a wide set of 
communities, particularly key representatives from industry and public sector that 
have not traditionally been engaged in federation. While federation activities in the 
UK have largely had an academic focus, federation across industry and other non?academic digital research infrastructures (DRIs) has been limited. In many cases,
large public-sector organisations can be siloed, for example, as demonstrated by 
the emergence of separate regional-scale secure data environments (SDEs) 
operated by independent NHS trusts throughout the UK. Through the workshop we 
are aiming to understand the benefits of federation for industry, for the federation 
itself, and for the wider public sector. We will enable wider project visibility and will 
provide access to audiences, including those not already engaged through existing 
delivering partners for the purposes cross-pollination.
