Description
This meeting has been cancelled.

The IRIS F2F meeting will be held at the Royal Observatory in Edinburgh on March 24/25, hosted by the Wide Field Astronomy Unit at the Institute for Astronomy, University of Edinburgh.
Venue and Accomodation
The Royal Observatory Edinburgh is located on Blackford Hill. The meeting will be held in the Higgs Centre for Innovation. When you arrive, please report to reception (through the gates and the first building on your left ). Here you will be given a name badge for the meeting and someone will be on hand to guide you to the meeting venue.  Information on traveling to the ROE can be found here: https://ifa.roe.ac.uk/visiting.
There is a wide choice of hotels available in Edinburgh which you can find on your favourite comparison website. A general list of accommodation within reasonable distance to the ROE can be found here: https://ifa.roe.ac.uk/visiting/accommodation.  If you choose to stay closer to the centre of the city, it's probably a good idea to try and pick a hotel that's close to either the 24 bus route or the 41 bus route. Both buses will stop at the bottom of Blackford Hill, from where it's a short (if steep) walk to the observatory.  Other bus routes that go to the King’s Buildings campus will get you within a short walk of the ROE as well, and these include the 38, 42, and 67 bus routes.  A taxi from town centre to the ROE will cost about £15, and is suggested for those with mobility issues to avoid the walk up the hill.
Meeting Logistics
The meeting will take place in the Higgs Data Visualization room on the ground floor of the Higgs building.  Wifi is available through eduroam, and a limited number of guest wifi accounts will be created for those who do not have eduroam access (please indicate if you need this when you register).  Access to power sockets will be somewhat limited due to the room constraints, though we will aim to provide some charging stations which can be used during breaks.
Coffee breaks and buffet lunch will be hosted in the Higgs café, on the 2nd floor of the Higgs building.  These will be provided free of charge to registered participants.  Participants should indicate any dietary requirements when they register to ensure we can cater appropriately.
There will be a snack and drinks session in the Higgs café after the meeting ends on the first day, from 18:00-19:15pm.  We will aim to provide a variety of soft drinks and snacks, and for those who are interested we also will be making a small selection of Scotch whiskies available for tasting.  If you are interested in sampling the whiskies, please indicate such when you register, and bring £5 on the day to cover the costs (as these must be paid out of pocket for funding reasons).  Once the drinks session ends, everyone is encouraged to return to their hotels or head out to dinner in town as they choose, and we will organize taxis on request through signup sheets earlier on the day.
