I research thermoelectric materials with a specific emphasis on structural characterisation enabling the structure-property relations to be determined. I completed my PhD in Inorganic Materials Chemistry at Heriot-Watt University where I explored half Heusler based thermoelectrics. This was followed by a postdoctoral research associate position at the National Graphene Institute, University of Manchester, supervised by Sir Prof Koysta Novoselov. My project focussed on searching for flexibility in inorganic thermoelectric materials. In March 2020, I joint the Centre for Condensed Matter and Materials Physics at QUML where I am now working with Dr. Jan Mol on self-assembled nanoparticle arrays for thermoelectric applications.
