About the speaker: 

Chiara Arcangeletti is a researcher at the INFN Frascati National Laboratories. She obtained her PhD in 2021 from the University of Roma Tre. She is a member of the ATLAS Collaboration at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider since 2017, where she focuses on precision studies of the Higgs boson properties, in particular in the H→ZZ∗→4ℓ decay channel, contributing to both Run-2 and Run-3 data analyses.

The Higgs boson is the key element of the Standard Model, responsible for the generation of particle masses. At the Large Hadron Collider, proton–proton collisions at unprecedented energies allow us to study its properties with high precision, offering a powerful way to test the Standard Model and to search for signs of new physics. In this talk, we will discuss how measurements of Higgs production and decay rates are used to probe its interactions and how these results can be interpreted to extract information about its couplings. Using recent results in the four-lepton decay channel, we will illustrate how different theoretical frameworks are employed to connect experimental data to fundamental physics.
