Scientific Programme

This GRADnet-AI workshop provides and overview the use of modern data science and AI methods in the context of physics problems. It comprises of lectures, tutorials and discussion sessions to allow participants to explore methods and help develop an understanding of what tools and methods work well under what circumstances. This workshop should be beneficial for PhD students working on theoretical and experimental projects. Topics will include methods often used in astronomy and particle physics analyses, however given the pervasive nature of data science in society today, more general topics will also be included in order to better equip graduates for their life after PhD studies, either within academia or industry. Requirements: A laptop computer is essential to follow the tutorial parts of this workshop.
