Accommodation

There are several recommended types of accommodation for this event.
  • On-campus accommodation: The block of rooms allocated for this conference has been used up.  It may still be possible to get a room on campus: please contact Jazmina Moura if you would like to enquire about the availability of such room.    Instructions on how to pay for on-campus accommodation will be sent to delegates along with confirmation of availability, where payment is required before the event.
  • Local hotels: College maintains a list of local hotels and B&Bs that provide easy access to the event venue.  Please refer to this list if you wish to stay nearby.
  • For delegates wanting to stay closer to the centre of town: we recommend Hotel Ibis London City (external link), which is on Commercial Road, near Aldgate East tube station.  This is 2 stops from the Mile End Campus on the underground (district line), or a short bus ride down the Mile End Road.   This hotel is half a mile from the Tower of London, and is a short tube ride from the west end.
  • Hotels in the Centre of Town: There are a number of hotels in London that could provide suitable alternatives to the local options.  Expedia (external link) can be used in order to obtain a comparison of options across town.  For participants on a budget, some basic hotels with easy access to the central line, and only a few stops away from Mile End tube station are the Imperial Group Hotels (external link).
July is usually a busy time of the year for London, so we would advise you to make accommodation arrangements as soon as possible.
